Erythromycin is a macrolide antibiotic that acts bacteriostatically on microorganisms that cause acne: Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus epidermidis. Erythromycin interferes with protein synthesis on ribosomes (Palades's granule) of the bacterial cell, resulting in lowering of acne manifestations. As result, skin greasiness and the amount of whiteheads and blackheads is decreased. Zinc reduces the secretion of oil glands and possesses gently astringent action. These properties make possible to exert efficient anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and comedolytic action. Indications: Zineryt is indicated for acne treatment Contraindications: Zineryt lotion should not be used in known hypersensitivity to erythromycin and zinc acetate. In recommended dosages the medication can be used in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Necessarily consult your health care provider if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid contact the medication with eyes and mucous lining of the mouth and nasal cavity. Zineryt mode of administration: Zineryt lotion consists of 3 parts:
Fill flacon A with solution from the flacon B. Carefully shake the flacon (A). Take off the lid and screw up the applicator with safety cap. Take off safety cap and check if applicator is carefully fixed. Zineryt lotion should be applied 2 times per day (morning and evening) on the whole face, not only on affected areas. The duration of treatment lasts nearly 10-12 weeks. First signs of improvements usually occur in 2 weeks. Zineryt Side effects:In some cases the sense of burning, itching, dry skin may occur. As usual, these manifestations do not require therapy termination.
